Purchased a custom song shirt for my girlfriend for Christmas!! I ordered the shirt end of October and put in a little note about how this would be a Christmas gift. Since this is being shipped to Canada, I paid for the extra shipping insurance. It had been a few days since I had ordered the shirt and had heard nothing about the order being made or shipped. I tried to reach out to the customer by email about my concerns and had heard nothing back, I expected it was because of the time difference. A couple of days went by and I messaged on Instagram. I received a timely response which I appreciate however, the order was made but because I said it was a Christmas gift, the team was waiting to ship the order until it was closer to Christmas. I found this confusing as it is going to be shipped internationally and knew it would take time to get here, under normal circumstances don't brands ship out an order as soon as possible? Regardless, the team was nice and shipped it out as soon as possible and as promised I received the tracking number. Everything was going well until it reached Canada and as expected there is now a postal strike here and I am unsure about when I will receive this order. I do not faul CustId for this, however, this situation of me not being able to receive this order could have been avoided had it been shipped as soon as it could have been rather than waiting until it was closer to the holiday season. At this time, it is in my city but cannot be delivered and I cannot pick it up. I will be waiting for the order as I am really looking forward to gifting it to my girlfriend. I am sure the gift will be great. But this is just a heads up to people ordering internationally to make sure you have enough time to have it shipped to your country.
